Mission - Solid House Foundation (SHF) is a habitat organisation that makes an effort for and with people that lack a safe and healthy living environment, due to poverty, disasters, poor governance and conflicts, but have the desire and potential to improve their situation independently. For these groups SHF works as a catalyst agent and facilitates, in cooperation with local partners, the path to sustainable development.
Vision - Every individual is entitled to live in a safe and healthy living environment. Worldwide only a minority can execute this right. Solid House Foundation believes that every person can potentially be the engine behind the improvement of his own conditions for living, housing and work. When habitat desires and needs are articulated, their potential can be mobilised and capacity developed, raising their self-sustainability.
Objectives - The Solid House Foundation’s objective is to create, facilitate and implement sustainable projects in communities with fewer chances. These projects are meant to empower local people to become more financially independent, to be able to invest in better living conditions.
