Solid House Foundation has developed significantly as an organisation, also in being able to work with external professionals. At the moment we have 7 active 'think-tanks', which bring together more than 80 experts in various fields. They invest a lot of their time and expertise in SHF and our programmes and they do it on a voluntary basis. Micro-Mortgage Think Tank
SHF believes that the way sustainable development is financed needs a major change. There are not enough development-funds available to finance the improvement of habitat for more than a billion people who need it. Read more.

Kenya: Start building activities Oloika
Thanks to a contribution of the Triodos Foundation and donations collected at two weddings Solid House Foundation and partners started the building activities last December. Opening of the facilities is planned for March 2011.

Bolivia: Socio-economic survey
To gather information that would enable us to develop a more relevant proposal for a credit-based housing program, we have conducted a socio-economic survey. The conclusions of the study have helped us to become acquainted with the life of the target group and their income. Moreover, we have gained insight into their expenses pattern and their needs and desires.
